People often use these terms interchangeably when it comes to care at home. However, there is a distinction. Home care refers to services that are non-medical provided by caregivers, such as personal care or homemaking services. Home healthcare refers to services that are skilled in nature and include nursing care along with therapies like physical, occupational and speech therapy.
Luxe At Home provides an array of personal care services like grooming, hygiene, bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, transferring, mobility assistance and incontinence care. Along with these services, our caregivers also provide companionship and can assist with household tasks like housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, medication reminders, grocery shopping, and community transportation services.
Every employee and caregiver we hire at Luxe At Home goes through an intensive interview process, allowing us to determine if they are suited for senior care and also someone who buys into our philosophy and vision of providing the best care possible. Along with this, each employee must provide professional references and undergo a local and national criminal background check.
Yes, all of our caregivers must fulfill basic training as required by the state of Illinois governing body (IDPH) prior to hire and annually complete these competencies to remain a Luxe caregiver. Along with this, we also provide additional training to our caregivers in the field of dementia care and Alzheimer’s specific care.
All Luxe At Home employees and caregivers are fully bonded and insured above industry standards, and covered under Illinois Workers Compensation insurance for you and your loved one’s safety and peace of mind.
Home care is an out of pocket cost and rates vary, dependent on the type of service that is provided. We are here to help you navigate this important decision and encourage you to contact our office and speak to a care coordinator regarding services and costs.
Luxe At Home services are available for as little as 4 hours a day and for live-in services, up to 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Luxe At Home can provide companionship and personal care to residents in independent living homes, assisted living communities, hospitals and nursing homes who may seek one-on-one care, additional help, or personalized care.
Yes, according to state mandated guidelines, we are required to have a service agreement between us and our clients that ensures the care was delivered in both the scope and quality promised.
Our care coordinators are in constant communication with caregivers and complete onsite supervisory visits on a regular basis to ensure care is being delivered as promised, and that clients are completely satisfied.
Aging is an ongoing process, which comes with its own set of challenges for a client and their loved ones. We feel that while encountering these challenges, a client is most likely to thrive in a familiar environment such as their home versus a senior living community. We are able to provide the same level of care (if not more) when you choose us to provide one-on- one companionship, personal care and home management tasks in the comfort of your own home.
Yes, typically these services are often covered by certain Long-term insurance plans. If you or your loved ones have Long term insurance, please contact our office and we can go over the process of initiating and qualifying for care. Medicare typically does not cover private duty caregiving services; however, there are some provisions for homecare that will be covered by Medicare advantage plans in the near future.
We pride ourselves on providing care in a timely manner and are able to assign you a dedicated caregiver within 24 hours.
We have many caregivers that speak multiple languages, often times with English being their second language. If you or your loved one has a language preference, please let us know and we will do our best to assign you an appropriate caregiver.
We provide our clients with an itemized bill containing services provided. Payment can be made by cash, check, ACH transfer and most credit cards.
